Engaged! And other stories...

So I let this blog pretty much die, but here's an update anyway!
Ali took me out to a gorgeous beach about a month ago, and asked if I would marry him! It was gorgeous and romantic and all I could have dreamed of in a proposal. My heart thumps just thinking back to it! :)
Anyway, we'll be getting married in the USA in about....6 weeks, eek! It seems very unreal. My mom is planning lots of the wedding, but I've sorted the bridesmaids and flowergirl dresses, and all the bouquets. My grandma is being a darling and buying me fresh flowers for all the tables. :)
I have a kitty on me at the moment, who is so very big and so very loving. Our old flatmates cat was recently hit by a car, so I think I'm holding our boy a little bit closer lately, hoping he'll be careful. Unfortunately you can't control a kitty being outside. Luckily we live on a nice quiet little street, so less chance of somone racing down, but we get a few.
Oh, and I've been working at Farmers for a few months now, and I'm really enjoying it for the most part. They like me, think that I'm efficient and smart, and are looking to give me more training.
I've been working fulltime for the past few days though, and I'm exhausted! Ok, so it's been 6 days straight when I'm not used to it, but *yawn*....no fun.
I've got some really great friends here in Chch now, and it's good to have people over, and be able to ring someone up (or text!) and find that they'll swing by to hang out, or meet somewhere. It's been a long time since I've had friends like that.
Anyway, I've got invitations for my bridal shower and invitations for my engagement party to print out, so I'd best get to it. :) Meh, parties are a pain to plan!
