Fun Weekend

It's Saturday night, and before I forget, I thought I'd write in my blog!
Ok, actually Ali suggested it, so I will be a good girl and write :)
Today was a good day, cos we went out shopping! Like a stereotypical
female, shopping and me are good pals, although we haven't kept in
touch much lately. Ali wanted to get my birthday prezzie, so I lost
myself in Riccarton mall while he went off to buy, and I ended up
buying myself a top, some earrings, and a makeup bag! I also got a
present for my dad, and we looked at a couple other places for
presents for the rest of my family, but came up empty.
After lunch of a teeny little sandwich, a muffin, and lots of Ali's
chips and salsa, we went off to my work to pick up Ali's map!
It was pretty easy to figure out a way to hang it without too much
hassle, but getting it into the car wasn't as simple. It wouldn't fit
in the boot, it wouldn't fit inside, so we had to tie it to the top!
Alister's kiwi ingenuity came in handy there, but we still had to
drive home with our hands out the window holding it down so it
wouldn't bend (did I mention it's mounted onto a foamcore board?) Our
hands were painfully freezing and the drive was slow, but we made it!
I'm glad my work is so close to home.
In the afternoon I rearranged my room and we hung the map in there. It
looks really cool, but it is really big!
Then after Ali's latest flight, he took me out to dinner at Denny's at
my request. Made me tremedously happy, just cos Denny's (strange as
this sounds) is a little bit of home :) Dinner was yummy, and I had a
nice date with my boy!
Half the weekend down, I intend to enjoy tomorrow!
